Dr Jones is a very knowledgable person not only in his field, but all areas of medicine. He is a great listener with a wonderful sense of humour and manages somehow to let his patients know that he cares about them and will do everything he can to put them on the right path to recovery or at least reduce their discomfort. Dr Jones also seems to have an excellent rapport with the hospital staff which creates a happy atmosphere in a normally "gloomy" place of work.

Dr Hugh Jones is fantastic. I have been a patient with Dr Jones for almost 10 years and throughout the ups and downs of my ailments he has listened and advised according to my needs at the time. He communicates very well, and more importantly in a way 'non-medics' understand. He always greets you with a friendly smile, gives you his full attention and makes you leave feeling reassured / helped / cared for. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Dr Jones has always been welcoming, friendly and informative. He always listens and offers constructive advice adjusting medication as my condition has altered. When it became clear that surgery was necessary, he was very supportive and checked on me after the operation. Professional with a great personality, I have total trust in his judgement of my care.

On admission Doctor Jones immediately introduced himself in a friendly way which made me feel relaxed and made me feel like a human being and not just a "condition". It was a pleasure to meet Doctor Jones who listened attentively and with interest to the information he invited me to share. Following the history of my problems he then carried out his examination (x-Rays were taken) and Dr Jones then explained his findings that was easily understandable. He then outlined what treatment could be implemented and gave the freedom to choose. I found Doctor Jones to be very professional and caring and he displayed excellent communication skills. Prior to his assessment he asked my permission for the junior Doctor in the room to be present and later to examine my hands. This she did following his examination and he endorsed and praised her correct findings. This encouragement is very important to individuals. As a retired Nurse Lecturer I greatly appreciated the value of my meeting with Doctor Jones. He is an excellent Rheumatologist and I look forward to meeting him again in November.
